The Southwark Explorers Club is a group of over-50s (nearly all over 60) based at the Southwark Pensioners’ Centre in south-east London. They visit interesting places and events in London and farther afield, about once a week.
Founded in 2000, the Club now has over 350 members and is a registered charity (no. 1101346). For nearly ten years, Tony was its Secretary and principal organiser – a role now taken over by Lesley Gibson.
Membership application forms and information about the current monthly programme can be obtained from the Southwark Pensioners Centre, 305-307 Camberwell Road, London SE5 0HQ (telephone: 020 7708 4556).
